<p>Unless you have been living under a rock for the past 5 years you would have heard of the famous Warcraft 3 mod, Defense of the Ancients or more commonly known as DoTa. The modification that spawned out of existence by the mysterious developer ‘IceFrog’ grew to global over the past 3 years and now ranked as one of the most popular games in the world. <span> </span>The only thing that held DoTa back was its prehistoric Wacraft 3 game engine and Blizzards push to World of Warcraft left the DoTa community forced to fend for themselves.</p>
<p>Though this my friends, is all about to change. Indy developers, S2 Games have unleashed their own replica of the epic mod and free’d the game of dota from its shackles. The game titled, Hero’s of Newerth is a near perfect upgrade, following gameplay & mechanics down to the finest detail, <span class="il">HoN</span> breathes a breath of fresh graphics into the old modification. <span> </span>Much like how Counter Strike 1.6 was updated to Counter Strike : Source, <span class="il">HoN</span> will drive Dota back into the mainstream gaming scene.</p>
<p><a rel="\"nofollow\"" href="/users/8721/articleimages/638/phoca_thumb_l_Heroes_of_Newerth_020.jpg"><img src="http://www.CyberGamer.com.au/users/8721/articleimages/638/phoca_thumb_l_Heroes_of_Newerth_020.jpg" border="0" alt="img" width="334" height="260" /></a></p>
<p>Now this isn’t the first time somebody has tried to replicate DoTa, DemiGod, League of Legends and many more all have attempted it, yet with the popularity of <span class="il">HoN</span>’s beta and the thumbs up from the best of the best, <span class="il">HoN</span> could be just what the doctor ordered for dota fans around the world. Get your hands on a beta key at <a href="http://heroesofnewerth.com/" target="_blank">http://heroesofnewerth.com/</a></p>

sweaty palm, were you being sarcastic when you said already perfect gameplay of DoTa? Its far from perfect, although thats not to say its bad. It is relatively well balanced and is quite good. Not perfect though. |

1.6 to css wasnt just graphics changes there is huge gameplay diferences. As long as it is just a replica with better graphics The game will be good but if it changes the already perfect gameplay of DoTa it wont be. A solid SP and it will be awesome. How's the beta? |

The game does have alot of things to balance, but it shows alot of promise. Looking forward to Gamestah getting a couple of video shoutcasts available (while still in beta), with the NDA in place, gamestah has managed to get it lifted for a couple of exibition games, then if you have no beta key, you can find out what the fuss is all about ![]() |
