Public transport gaming has recently become my favorite travel past time, weather its on the train, bus, tram (or in Sydney on that silly monorail system) abit of video game action is defiantly a great way to fill in the time between stops.
From observation the most popular public transport gaming seems to be done on the nintendo ds, PSP and most commonly, the classic mobile phone. Back in the day it was all about playing snake on the old vintage nokia's though with all the latest iphones and blackberries on the market, your standard portable mobile phone can instantly be converted into a gaming device of pure bliss.

Now I was confident that seeing as everybody else around me was playing games on their nice portable devices, I too could do this, with my not so portable Asus gaming laptop. A careful selection of game lead me to have a quick spin of the recently released Call of Duty 5. I put a pair of my chunky gaming headphones and loaded up to what I though would be possibly the most enjoyable experience of my life. Unfortunately I didnt have the forsight to realize I had no mouse, and was forced to use the laptops ever inaccurate touch pad. Fortunately, I battled through it, and after a solid month of playing an array of games on my public transport I believe my touchpad gaming lifestyle has now evolved and would encourage anybody to have a go at some public transport gaming, its probably one of the only reliable enjoyable about public transport.

Michael Woods
